Lead by Mr. Wang Shan, Vice President and Secretary-general of China Arts and Crafts Association and President of World Crafts Council, a delegation comprised of 26 Chinese arts and crafts professionals visited Russia from August 17 to 25. Most of the delegates are arts and crafts masters, management personnels, and corporate representatives.
The delegation had a conversazione with Russian counterparts on August 21. The conversazione was hosted by Mrs. Zhang Zhonghua, Cultural Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Russia. Russian arts and crafts counterparts, representatives from All-Russian Decorative Applied and Folk Art Museum, Moscow State Folk Art Museum and etc. participated in the conversazione.
Representatives of both parts spoke on their own arts and crafts management, educational systems and coming activities. Mr. Wang Shan, on behalf of WCC, invited Russia to become a member of WCC and to come to China in 2014 for Golden Jubilee Celebration. Russian counterparts accepted the invitation with pleasure.
On August 23, the delegation visited Pallada Ltd, a corporation specialized in ceramics. Chinese masters majored in ceramics discussed with Pallada Ltd about techniques and works. Mr. Konstantin Likholat, Director of Pallda Ltd, invited Chinese masters to participate in their Second Ceramics Exhibition in 2014. Meanwhile, they were invited by China to join the annual International Ceramics Expo in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi.
